So the kids and I had a few building projects to do today. Each room needed shelves so we could put our clothes on them. We decided to have a quick lesson on wood cutting, proper use and safety of air tools, how to use a square and general clean up. As you can see from the pictures the safety part of the class was ignored. If you look close at the picture of Shawn's finger the nail went all the way through. The picture of Carsten's leg shows what happens if you stand in front of a table saw when the blade kicks back the wood. All three shelves were built for $58 (labour was free). Even though we had a few minor injuries the class was good.
If anyone is interested in custom built books shelves we are all for hire
Rates
Shawn - $35/hr shelves are guaranteed to be straight, square, sanded and paint of your choice
Addison - will work for video games or a used t.v., work will be ok, reasonably straight, not square at all, sanded but not painted
Carsten - will work for bread, he loves the pan (bread) in Guatemala, work will be done
Emmas - will work for Q8 ($1 US dollar) she still doesn't know the money thing yet
Hey there, I guess you are all OK since you are willing to do the same job again? I don't need shelves but I do need drywall taping and mudding done, and that seems a lot less dangerous of a job, no nails or saws involved. Please send a quote. PS Emma, stay away from power tools, OK honey! Love to you all, Lin xoxo
