Our missionary adventure starts Sept. 30, 2009!
We are DEBT FREE and ready to go to Guatemala! Debt entangles and is a hinderance that we are not willing to bring into the mission field with us. We committed to being debt free before going and we have reached our goal. God has given us favour and Shawn has worked so hard to make this happen. We are continuing to put aside as much money as possible for our stay in Guatemala.
We are committed to going to Quetzaltenago, Guatemala for three months of language and culture training. This is where our pastor spent 20 missionary years pastoring and church planting. We will also be renovating two churches and a school and painting murals in individual class rooms as well as volunteering at a children’s rescue center. We are so excited and honoured to be going to serve. We will be checking out missionary organizations and are planning to get connected with one. Please agree with us for God’s clear leading and wisdom. We want God’s perfect will for our lives.
It is a priority to share this experience with you. We desire to keep you posted and we would also love to hear from you about what is going on in your lives. If you do not wish to receive these updates please let us know. We value your time and input. If God so leads you to support us financially that would be wonderful but please do not feel obligated to do so. We desire above all else to connect with you. We are so blessed to know you all. Our lives are richer because of people.
